A nice video to convey the sentiments
A man was visiting a city which was once his home after a long time. He was going to be in town for only a few hours, so he decided to go for a walk to his favorite places.
Some time later he found himself sitting on a bench in a park, smoking a pipe.
“You look miles away”, said an old man, joining him.
“No, I am here”, he said, “But I am sitting on the same bench with my painter friend, 20 years back. We are watching my wife, who has had a bit too much to drink, trying to dance a flamenco.”
“Enjoy your memories”, says the old man.
“But remember, the memory is like salt. The right amount brings out the flavor in food, too much ruins it. If you live in the past all the time, you won’t have any present to remember.”
